We’re starting 2013 with loads of energy and news, after a jam-packed year of projects and new experiences, which we hope will continue throughout this year. Right at the beginning of the year our chatty plant has given people a lot to talk about in El País newspaper, right now her head is getting pretty [...]

What is @welovegarden? @welovegarden is an idea that came about through experimenting with an Arduino shield’s basic electronics and a tendency and curiosity in our studio for applying interaction and connectivity, not just to people and machines but to other types of objects and live beings that surround us ;) @welovegarden is a garden with [...]
At welovecode, as you know, we would like to give importance to research and testing new interactive applications, software, libraries, etc. Many times, what we test today and leave half done without studying in depth tomorrow will provide the answer to a problem or interesting point of view to tackle a future project. In this [...]
We’re back in Barcelona after almost an entire month working at the Munich Opera. We’ve been fully involved in the visual creation of Carlus Padrissa latest opera with La Fura dels Baus, a project called Babylon, libretto by Peter Sloterdijk and music by Jörg Widmann. We worked closely with Tigrelab, who took care of the video postproduction. [...]
Although it’s nearly October (we haven’t had much time to update our website), we didn’t want to give up the chance to show you our new work on stage with La Fura dels Baus in Tokyo (Japan): Oresteia, is a musical and scenic work in a non-conventional space for which we developed different visual elements adapted [...]
During the month of June, Welovecode was in Istanbul with La Fura dels Baus. We collaborated on a relatively small, visual part of the show, which was part of a much larger macro-performance, but in any case it was very exciting. Here is just a glimpse of some of the footage that spectators recorded live.
We are celebrating in the studio! We’ve been selected along with Tigrelab to participate in the Kernel Festival ( Cesio, Italia ) for our project Visual Sound Building. Visual Sound Building is an interactive videomapping project on the façade of the Villa Tittoni Travers. As if it were a giant synthesizer, the windows of the Villa act like buttons [...]
We create projects and systems aimed at producing interactive and visual experiences across various fields, anything from performing arts, artistic installations, information systems and advertising events.
To do this, we try to approach projects in an integral way, developing custom-made applications and hardware, creating open source software, always with the utmost care and attention towards each project.
Welovecode is an open studio, a network of collaborators in which different specialised professionals and studios exchange knowledge with the aim of approaching projects with a clear desire to innovate and share experiences.
